When is the Open Evening?
Our Open Evening will take place on Thursday 31st October 2024, from 6pm to 8.45pm.
Doors will open at 5.45pm.
Who is it for?
Our Open Evening is for prospective students and parents/carers who are interested in applying for a place at our Sixth Form to start in September 2025.
Whether you are currently studying at Cheadle Hulme High School or another school, you are welcome to join us and find out more about our Sixth Form offer.
When are the Director of Sixth Form presentations?
The Director’s presentations will take place in the Sixth Form Auditorium, the first presentation is at 6pm. There will be additional presentations at 7pm and 7.40pm.
You only need to attend one presentation as this will be the same each time.
What can I expect?
At our Open Evening, you will have the opportunity to:
- Tour the Sixth Form facilities and see our state-of-the-art classrooms, dedicated study areas and social spaces.
- Attend subject seminars – find out more about the different A Level subjects we offer.
- Hear from our Director of Sixth Form, who will give a presentation and share our vision, values and expectations for our Sixth Form students.
- Meet our Sixth Form Cabinet, who will deliver a presentation about the student experience in our Sixth Form Study Centre.
- Speak to current students and staff – they will be happy to answer any questions you may have about life at Cheadle Hulme Sixth Form, the curriculum, enrichment activities, pastoral support and more.

What are subject seminars?
There will be a rolling programme of subject seminars (starting at 6.20pm) throughout the Sixth Form building during the evening.
These will be taster sessions for all of the A Level subjects we offer, allowing you to get an idea of what each subject is like and find out what you are interested in.

Do I need to register?
There is no requirement to book if you would like to attend.

How do I find the Sixth Form?
Our Sixth Form is located within the grounds of Cheadle Hulme High School. Our address is Cheadle Hulme High School, Woods Lane, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, Cheshire, SK8 7JY.
There is limited parking available on site, so we advise you to walk or use public transport if possible.
If you do come by car, please be respectful of our neighbours and do not block driveways, access routes or park on double yellow lines.
Accessible parking is available for those who need it.
How do I apply for a place?
Applications open on Friday 1st November 2024. Visit our Admissions page to complete an application form and find everything you need to know about how to apply for a place for the academic year 2025/26.
When is the admissions deadline for the academic year 2025/26?
The deadline for submitting your application is 6pm on Friday 6th December 2024. Please make sure you complete all sections of the application form and submit it on time.
When do I find out whether I’ve been offered a conditional place?
All students who apply will be invited to attend a consultation meeting with a member of our senior leadership team.
You will be given the opportunity to discuss your current progress, Sixth Form subject choices and future aspirations.
In February 2025, a conditional offer of a place in the Sixth Form will be issued following the consultation meeting.
Places are confirmed following registration on GCSE Results Day.
