When is the Open Evening?
The Open Evening will take place on Thursday 2nd November 2023, from 6pm to 8.45pm.
Who is it for?
Our Open Evening is for prospective students and parents/carers who are interested in applying for a place at our Sixth Form to start in September 2024.
Whether you are currently studying at Cheadle Hulme High School or another school, you are welcome to join us and find out more about our Sixth Form offer.
What can I expect?
At our Open Evening, you will have the opportunity to:
- Tour the Sixth Form facilities and see our state-of-the-art classrooms, dedicated study areas and social spaces.
- Attend subject seminars – these will be taster sessions for all of the A Level subjects we offer, allowing you to get an idea of what each subject is like and find out what you are interested in.
- The subject seminar presentation schedule will be provided on the evening, or you can access it here to plan your evening in advance. To view a map of the Sixth Form building, click here.
- Hear from our Head of School and Sixth Form Senior Leadership team, who will give a presentations and share our vision, values and expectations for our Sixth Form students.
- Speak to current students and staff – they will be happy to answer any questions you may have about life at Cheadle Hulme Sixth Form, the curriculum, enrichment activities, pastoral support and more.

Do I need to register?
You do not need to register for the Open Evening, and can drop in at a time that best suits you.

When are the presentations?
Presentations from the Head of School and members of the Sixth Form Leadership Team will take place at 7.00pm and 7.40pm on the night.
You only need to attend one session, as they will be the same.
How do I find the Sixth Form?
Our Sixth Form is located within the grounds of Cheadle Hulme High School. Our address is Cheadle Hulme High School, Woods Lane, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, Cheshire, SK8 7JY.
There is limited parking available on site, so we advise you to walk or use public transport if possible.
If you do come by car, please be respectful of our neighbours and do not block driveways, access routes or park on double yellow lines.
Accessible parking is available for those who need it.
How do I apply for a place?
Applications open on Thursday 2nd November 2023. Visit our Admissions page to download an application form and find everything you need to know about how to apply for a place for the academic year 2024/25.
When is the admissions deadline for the academic year 2024/25?
The deadline for submitting your application is Friday 1st December 2023. Please make sure you complete all sections of the application form.
When do I find out whether I’ve been offered a place?
All students who apply will be invited to attend a consultation meeting with a member of our senior leadership team.
You will be given the opportunity to discuss your current progress, Sixth Form subject choices and future aspirations.
In February 2024, a conditional offer of a place in the Sixth Form will be issued following the consultation meeting.
