Admissions for 11-16 students
The Laurus Trust is the Admissions Authority for Cheadle Hulme High School and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admissions. The Laurus Trust has elected to use Stockport MBC’s admission process, therefore the co-ordination and administration of admissions is undertaken by the Local Authority.
Admissions for September 2020 have now closed. Please contact the Local Authority on how to submit a late application.
(a) For September 2020 entry into Year 7
Local Authorities have a system of co-ordinated admissions. Applications are made using the Local Authority form for the area in which you reside. If your child was born between 1st September 2008 and 31st August 2009 you should apply for a secondary school place for the school year beginning September 2020 by 31st October 2019.

Once we know which students are due to attend there is a series of events and meetings from May onwards to ease the transfer from primary school. These include: primary sports sessions, a New Intake evening for parents/carers and a taster day at the school when students will sample a range of lessons with the tutor group to which they will belong in September. In addition, key staff visit the main primary schools to discuss transfer information with appropriate teachers.
(b) For mid-year admissions to all year groups
All applications must be made to the Local Authority’s Admissions Support and Advice Team. For more information, please visit this link
