Admissions
Open Evening
Our Open Evening for September 2025 entry into Year 7 will take place on Thursday 17th October 2024, from 6pm to 8.30pm.
Admissions for 11-16 students
The Laurus Trust is the Admissions Authority for Cheadle Hulme High School and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admissions. The Laurus Trust has elected to use Stockport MBC’s admission process, therefore the co-ordination and administration of admissions is undertaken by the Local Authority.
(a) For September 2025 entry into Year 7
Local Authorities have a system of coordinated admissions. Applications are made using the Local Authority form for the area in which you reside.
Stockport Local Authority’s application portal opens in mid August 2024 and the deadline for applications is 31 October 2024. For more information, please visit Stockport’s school admissions page here. Offer day is 3 March 2025.
Once we know which students are due to attend there is a series of events and meetings from May onwards to ease the transfer from primary school. These include: primary sports sessions, a new intake evening for parents/carers and a taster day at the school when students will sample a range of lessons with the tutor group to which they will belong in September. In addition, key staff visit the main primary schools to discuss transfer information with appropriate teachers.
(b) For in-year admissions to all year groups
All applications must be made to the Local Authority’s Admissions Support and Advice Team. For more information, please click on this link.
