Teaching Experience
I have been Subject Leader and AST for a highly successful department at CHHS and have 5 years’ experience in supporting English subject leaders and their teams within the LA and beyond, offering coaching and mentoring as well as devising action plans to allow for progress and improvement. I am trained as an MLE and as a facilitator for the OTP and ITP Programmes.
SLE Experience
I am a member of the local authority School Improvement Team. As part of this I have conducted literacy reviews of entire schools, providing evidence informed feedback to department and leadership teams. These reviews have then formed the baseline for action plans and improvement work from which impact can be measured.
I have supported English departments in many schools across Greater Manchester, delivering whole school and department INSET. I have provided outreach support in a variety of capacities including: subject leader mentoring, team building, coaching as well as master class sessions for groups of borderline students.
