Dear Parents/Carers

Canteen Closure

I am sorry to be writing this update to you. Currently, our capacity to deliver our usual food provision from our school canteen has been significantly compromised due to the temporary absence of a number of our catering staff who are self-isolating.

Therefore, today, Wednesday 11th November, a decision has been made to temporarily close the school canteen until our catering staff numbers return to manageable levels.

Starting from Thursday 12th November and until further notice (provisionally Wednesday 25th November), please can we ask that you send your child to school with a packed lunch, snacks for break and a full bottle of drinking water. Please avoid bringing nuts or food containing nuts into school.

If your child receives Free School Meals, this will be provided by school as normal and will be in the form of a packed lunch.

I would like to reassure all of you that each day we are undertaking an intensive cleaning regime throughout the school, and we are continuing to ensure robust hand and respiratory hygiene is maintained.

I will write to you again when we have an update. Thank you for your understanding in this very difficult time.

Kind Regards,

Mr D Brown, Head of School
