Cheadle Hulme Sixth Form is celebrating its best A Level results ever, with students once again surpassing even the highest expectations.
An outstanding 44 students achieved three or more A or A* grades, while an incredible 50% of all grades awarded were the top A* or A. Overall, 81% of grades were A*-B, a remarkable 10% increase on last year’s already impressive performance.
These exceptional outcomes have opened doors to some of the most competitive and prestigious destinations in the country. The Sixth Form is seeing nine students head to the University of Cambridge or to study Medicine, Dentistry, or Veterinary Science, while five students have secured sought-after degree apprenticeships with leading employers such as Deloitte. Many more will be progressing to Russell Group and other highly selective universities – setting them up for futures filled with opportunity and success.
These results reflect not only the determination and talent of the students but also the expert teaching and unwavering support from staff. As the flagship Sixth Form of the Laurus Trust, Cheadle Hulme Sixth Form continues to set the benchmark for academic excellence.
Among this year’s standout individual achievements are:
- Evie, who received three A* grades, is going on to study Geography at the University of Cambridge
- Kuba achieved four A* grades and one A grade and will be heading to the University of Bath to study Mathematics

“We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s record-breaking A Level results – the best in the Sixth Form’s history. These achievements are a testament to the relentless hard work, resilience, and ambition of our Year 13 students. Watching them grow into confident, capable young adults over the past two years has been a genuine privilege. Such success is never achieved alone, and we are deeply grateful for the dedication of our teaching staff and the encouragement from parents and carers. As our students begin their ‘Life after Laurus,’ we can’t wait to see where their talents take them.”
Linda Magrath OBE, CEO of the Laurus Trust, added:
“These results are a powerful reflection of the ambition and dedication we foster across Laurus schools and Sixth Forms. We are incredibly proud of every student and their achievements. This success speaks directly to our vision: that every young person, regardless of background, should have the opportunity to secure the A Level grades that unlock the future they choose. We look forward to seeing them continue to thrive in the years ahead.”
