Last week, we hosted the annual Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS) Maths Awards Evening, celebrating budding mathematicians from our school and beyond!

Students in Year 7 have been busy competing in the CHHS Maths Challenge.

The challenge sees them attempting to solve tough puzzles in their Maths lessons.

We also invited pupils in Year 5 and 6 from local Primary Schools to take part in the challenge.

Solving the puzzles was no easy feat, but many students and pupils rose to the challenge.

Each Primary School selected three winners and a winner was picked from each Year 7 class to join us at the Awards Evening.

It was a fantastic evening with the winners and their families all getting involved in even more exciting maths problems.

Everyone worked together to try and crack the puzzles, they even had parents and carers scratching their heads!

Each winner was given a snazzy Maths Challenge award magnet in recognition of their hard work.

As well as this, one Primary School was chosen as the overall winner.

Based on their perseverance and impressive ability, pupils from Bradshaw Hall Primary School were announced the winners!
