The government has announced a package of support, including additional funding and high-quality resources, to help schools deal with the challenges posed by the current coronavirus pandemic and subsequent schools shutdowns.
While teachers, students and parents/carers would normally be beginning the Easter break, the coronavirus outbreak means that, where possible, schools will continue to care for vulnerable children and those of key workers.
The money will cover unforeseen additional costs including for cleaning and keeping schools open over Easter.
