Meet our SEND team
Within our SEND team, we have a SENDCo, SEND Lead, a number of specialist roles and Learning Support Assistants. Our SENDCo and SEND Lead work alongside the Heads of Year and Heads of House to monitor student progress and will ensure that your children have every opportunity to become the best they can be.
Our SEND Leads liaise with parents, carers, students and outside agencies to make sure that reasonable adjustments are in place to allow students to be fully included and supported in every aspect of school life.

Mrs Odell
SENDCo
Mrs Odell is Assistant Headteacher at CHHS. She joined CHHS in 2016 as Subject Leader for Engineering and has also held the position of Head of House. She now works alongside Mrs Higgs to coordinate SEND provision across the school and works with the pastoral Heads of Year for KS4.
“It is my belief that every student at CHHS can thrive and succeed with the right provision of support and pastoral care. I want to work to ensure that all of our students, regardless of background or circumstance have a happy and fulfilling experience with us, leading them to the future of their choice.”
Mrs Higgs
Head of Learning Support
Mrs Higgs supports students in their transition from primary school and throughout their time at CHHS. She also provides support to students in our Sixth Form. Mrs Higgs works closely with the SEND Leads, the pastoral Heads of Year and Mrs Odell to co-ordinate the SEND provision.
“I am incredibly privileged to be part of the SEND Team here at CHHS and to be able to make a difference to the lives of our young people. I am passionate about supporting students with SEND to achieve their potential and thrive. My hope is that when they leave CHHS they are confident and independent young people, able to pursue a future of their choice.”
Mrs Boyle
KS4 SEND Lead
Mrs Boyle is the SEND Lead for students in Key Stage 4 (KS4). She works alongside our SENDCo and the Head of Student Support to facilitate our SEND provision.
