Exam Contingency Date Information – Summer 2027
The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) has designated Wednesday 23 June 2027 as the single contingency day for the summer 2027 examination series. Candidates are expected to remain available for examinations up to and including this date, as it is reserved for national or significant local disruption to exams in the UK.
Equipment for Exams
In Year 9, all students are expected to bring two black pens to their Languages’ exams.
In Year 11, all students are expected to bring a scientific calculator and the following equipment in a clear pencil case to all their exams (including internal examinations):
- 2 black pens
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Eraser
- Compass
- Protractor
These items can be purchased using MCAS. Students should contact their Head of Year or the Mathematics department if they are having trouble obtaining the above equipment.
Information about internal examinations is communicated to students in school and sent out to parents/carers by email. Individual student timetables and seating for both internal and external examinations can be found on the Exam Timetable section of the MCAS App and on the Student Portal.
