The Design and Technology department at Cheadle Hulme High School has been busy in school making personal protection equipment (PPE) for local frontline health workers following a request from a local GP.
All items are being distributed across Stockport and the surrounding area. The Christie cancer hospital in Didsbury and Macclesfield Hospital as well as medical centres and pharmacies in Cheadle and Edgeley are among the destinations for the hundreds of visors which have been made using the school’s 3D printers.
Teachers and support staff are coming together to help distribute the equipment and take shifts in printing the visors.
CHHS has joined D&T departments across the country in laser cutting polypropylene designs that are being shared as quickly as possible.
Great work Team Tech at CHHS!
